Sharr and Mirusha · 40–50 minutes from the hotel
Nature near the hotel: the Sharr Mountains and the Mirusha Waterfalls
Two of Kosova’s most beautiful landscapes lie less than an hour from HAREA, in opposite directions: mountains to the south and a canyon of waterfalls to the north.

Sharr: from Prizren up to Prevallë
The road to Sharr passes through Prizren and then climbs along the valley to Prevallë, a mountain pass surrounded by pines. In summer the air here is several degrees cooler than on the plain, and the meadows are the starting point for easy walks. In winter Prevallë is covered in snow and families come for sledging and lunch by the fire.
Sharr National Park is also known for Sharr cheese, which you will find in the restaurants of the area. For more serious climbs towards the peaks, a guide and settled weather are recommended.
Mirusha: one lake after another
In the other direction, the Mirusha river has carved a canyon where small lakes are linked by waterfalls. The path from the car park to the first lake is short and suitable for children too; further on it narrows and calls for care. On hot days people come here to cool off, so at weekends it is best to arrive before noon.
How to combine them
Each place deserves half a day. Many guests pair Sharr with Prizren, since they are on the same road, and Mirusha with Gjakova. Bring water, shoes with a good sole and, in summer, swimwear for Mirusha.
After a day outdoors
The return to the hotel takes less than an hour from either place. The apartments with a kitchenette suit families coming back with tired children, while the restaurant is open for those who simply want to sit down and eat.
