Prishtina · about 1 hour from the hotel
Prishtina in a day, with a stop at Gadime Cave
The capital is not a city of grand museums but a city of atmosphere: the boulevard, the cafés and a few buildings you will find nowhere else. One day is enough to get to know it.

On the way: Gadime Cave
If you leave early, stop at Gadime, near Lipjan. The Marble Cave is visited with a guide and the tour takes less than an hour. It is cool inside all year round, so bring a light jacket even in summer.
The centre on foot
In Prishtina, park once and walk. The Newborn monument, unveiled on the day independence was declared in 2008, is the first stop for most visitors. From there, Mother Teresa Boulevard leads towards the Cathedral and the National Library, a building of domes and metal lattice on which nobody stays neutral.
For history, the Kosova Museum and the Ethnological Museum in the Emin Gjiku complex are close to each other and show how life was lived in the old town houses.
Coffee as part of the visit
Prishtina takes coffee seriously. Its macchiato is often mentioned by travellers as one of the best they have had, and an hour in a café on the boulevard tells you more about the city than any monument. Those with time can end the afternoon in Gërmia Park, on the edge of town.
The way back
The drive back to HAREA takes about an hour. For guests arriving by plane, Prishtina Airport lies in the same direction, about 50 minutes from the hotel, and reception arranges the transfer.
